Housekeeper & Assistant Organiser

Casual Role – Flexible hours to suit you.

Do you love creating order and making spaces feel calm and functional? We’re looking for a reliable Housekeeper who can also step into the role of an Assistant Organiser, with the opportunity to grow into a Professional Organiser role with Curate Home.

This is a hands-on role supporting busy families and individuals who benefit from practical, empathetic support in their homes.

What the Role Involves

- Flexible casual hours—days and times can fit around your needs- ie school aged children.

- Travel across Wellington and the Kāpiti Coast (driver’s licence + own transport required).

- Housekeeping tasks such as laundry, bed making, dishes, general cleaning, tidying, and recycling/removal tasks.

- Occasional assisting in organising projects: decluttering, sorting, and creating practical systems in homes.

- Working in varied spaces, including potentially messy, dusty or dirty environments, and supporting people with limited functionality

- The potential to step into a Professional Organiser role with future self-employment opportunities.

Who We’re Looking For

- Confident and comfortable guiding clients in a light coaching capacity

- Takes initiative, thinks creatively, and solves problems pragmatically

- Empathetic, kind, and non-judgemental—able to work sensitively in complex situations

- Inclusive and welcoming—LGBTQIA+ identifying/ally and an understanding of, or identifying as neurodivergent.

- Detail-focused and committed to high standards.

- Excellent communicator with strong English comprehension

- Loves creating order, well-organised, good at self-directing, and reliable with time management

- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team

Physical Requirements

- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavier items when needed

- Comfortable working in cluttered, messy, or dusty spaces
